Paws Up To

Paws up E Magazine for basing an entire issue on the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle.
Paws up Everyone involved in the new UVM-based animal protection organization Allied Students for Animal Protection.
Paws up Everyone at the Cat Spay/ Neuter Clinic in Colchester (Peggy, Roger, Kathee, Doris, Ginny, Allison, and other volunteers)
Paws up Ellen Emerson of Vermont Programmers for her excellent work on the GMAD website.
Paws up Legally Blonde II for sending Elle to congress to get a law passed to make product testing on animals illegal.
Paws up The School of Medicine at the University of California, who will not be performing invasive procedures on live domestic canines. Up until this semester, dogs were used in six-hour teaching labs and were killed once the class was over.
Paws up Morning DJ Bob of Star 92.9 who read a touching animal story on air highlighting how some people consider animals "disposable." He made a point to listeners that owning an animal is a responsibility and also pointed them to where they could get more information about apartments and hotels that allow pets.
Paws up Monica Farrington for rescuing a skunk, a pigeon and a raccoon (at different times), and for her generous sponsorship of a full page GMAD ad in the Waldorf School publication.
Paws up Cecilia Telefus for her fabulous squirrel and bunny rescue.
Paws up Burger King for offering a vegetarian burger in all of its establishments across the United States.
Paws up Emily Shell for her many hours of volunteer work, including the very tedious job of alphabetizing all our e-mail lists!
Paws up Ellen Jareckie for all of her dedicated work for injured animals.
Paws up Everyone whose acts of kindness, large and small, help ease the suffering of animals and protect the environment.
Paws up Sue Cousino for her excellent work on dog rescue/adoption and other animal issues.
Paws up Suzen Larsen King for donating her professional expertise to help GMAD improve our fundraising and outreach efforts.
Paws up Whit Hewit for fostering twenty mice that were formerly used for research purposes. He has currently found a good home for four of the mice and continues to care for the rest.
Paws up Meals On Wheels who are now providing vegetarian meals.
